Monday 22 9 20/60 11 50/60 Wrote to Marian (Market Weighton) to tell her of my safe arrival here by Saturday's mail – Mrs James Holroyd called – walked to Halifax, put my letter into the P.O and called at Northgate – I met Miss Prescott senior there – my aunt looking as spruce as possible Mrs Veitch was to drink tea with her – Left a note from my aunt Anne for Mrs Veitch containing a loan of 6 of Rawson’s pound notes – Got home to dinner.
